It is with a heavy heart that, thanks to a cruel and revenge-driven ideological shadow cabinet reshuffle by left-wing Jeremy Corbyn, we have to say goodbye to Shadow Culture, Media and Sport Secretary Michael Dugher. He’s not dead, but you would be forgiven for thinking he was going by the reaction of some media and social network voices.
As of course we all know, Michael Vincent Dugher (26 April 1975) is a British Labour Party politician, who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) forBarnsley East since 2010. He has held various senior positions within the party, including the Vice-Chair of the Labour Party, deputy to Jon Ashworth, Shadow Secretary of State for Transport and Shadow Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport.
Since he took over from Chris Bryant MP last September Michael has done a lot of good things as Shadow Secretary, including something to do with the BBC, being criticised by Jeremy Clarkson and many other important and memorable things. He will be sorely missed.
I will report on more high-profile MPs who lose their positions in “Corbyn’s Cull” as and when the news breaks. In the meantime, let’s all take a moment and spare a thought for reasonable and dignified Michael Dugher MP.
