Turning Thirty

Today is my 30th birthday. I woke up feeling much the same as I did yesterday (much the same as I have done for years) but with a new telly, a new web address and loads of other goodies. I’ve been so lucky already and it’s barely half nine in the morning.

Later we will go to Cardiff Castle and watch one of my favourite movies – The Shawshank Redemption – in the room we got married in, along with the best friends this wet old island has to offer. Tomorrow I’ll eat a roast dinner at my parents’ house.

So what’s 30 like? I’d love for you to tell me. I mean, it feels just like being in my 20s except I’m expected to make more of myself in this coming decade. Walk the dog more, clean up more, get a better job and stuff… What an adventure! Let’s do this.
